Meladerm for Acne Scars
Filed under: Acne Scar Treatments Reviews;3 CommentsWhat is Meladerm?
Meladerm is a skin lightening that inhibits the formation of melanin, the natural pigment that gives skin its color. It really work for red marks and red spots.
I have used Meladerm for three months to reduce my sun damage and now it has almost completely vanished.
So, if you suffer from brown or red marks on your face, neck and chest caused by acne, Meladerm can help to improve your skin.
Is meladerm a good product for acne scars?
No!
A real acne scar is a permanent skin damage! Before deciding on an acne scar treatment, consult a board certified doctor to determine what’s best for your specific situation and set realistic expectations for what you can achieve. In many cases, acne scars cannot be completely removed, only improved.

Glycolic Acid for Acne Scars
Filed under: Acne Scar Treatments Reviews; No CommentsGlycolic acid (or hydroxyacetic acid) is the smallest α-hydroxy acid (AHA). and it is highly soluble in water. It is used in various skin-care products and it is available in different percentages. Due to its excellent capability to penetrate skin, glycolic acid finds applications in skin care products, most often as a chemical peel performed by a dermatologist in concentrations of 70% or at-home kits in lower concentrations between 10 and 30%.
I got very good results using a 30% glycolic acid gel at home over the course of 10 weeks. I am 35, and I have some little ice pick scars from acne.
I peeled 4x a week for 10minutes ea.I have not sensitive skin and the ice picks scars are a bit shallower.
Apparently the results begin to show after a few treatments.
Glycoli acid also improves the look of my skin, leaving it bright and young looking. I also have been applying a copper peptide night cream after the peels and think this is beneficial, as well as applying hayluronic acid lotion and spf 70 sunscreen before leaving the house. It also really helped me with my red marks.
For the price this is definitely worth your try.

MaMa Lotion for Acne Scars
Filed under: Acne Scar Treatments Reviews; No CommentsMama Lotion is a high-potency combination of Mandelic and Malic Acids to rapidly even skin tone, reduce breakouts, and soften wrinkles. Mandelic acid has gained popularity as a topical skin care treatment for adult acne. It is also used as an alternative to glycolic acid in skin care products.
Mandelic acid is a larger molecule than glycolic acid which makes it better tolerated on the skin. Mandelic acid is also advantageous in that it possesses antibacterial properties, whereas glycolic acid does not.Malic acid is a natural substance found in fruit and vegetables – one of the richest sources being apples. It is a natural humectant, which draws water out of the dermis and into the epidermis. This helps keep the skin hydrated, without contributing to oiliness. Its natural antioxidant properties help fight free radicals in the skin, which can contribute to skin damage. Its gentle nature makes it suitable for use on sensitive skin, even in high concentrations.
Personally I have used this product and it’s great! I have average sensitivity to products, and this one did not irritate. I use it every day and I’ve had no peeling. I’ve only been using this one week and already I have smoother skin, smaller pores, and no new breakouts! . I have definitely noticed an improvement in my acne scars. I use it about every other night.
