Elicina for Acne Scars
Filed under: Acne Scar Treatments Reviews;1 CommentElicina snail cream is an original product from Chile, it is organic, natural and hypoallergenic.
Elicina contains 80% snail secretion. It claims that the snail secretion would heal wounds, did not become infected, and would quickly heal scar-free.
Elicina would diminishes and softens: wrinkles, scars, burns, age & sun spots, stretch marks, acne and warts. My experience: I love Elicina. I use it every day. It has made my skin look healthier and feel smoother. It greatly reduced my fresh scars. The most significant development has been the disappearance of a red spot on my forehead. Elicina has also reduced the size of my blackheads.
However, I used this cream for several weeks and did not notice any difference or improvement in my old acne scars.
This product is also great if you need a light moisturizer that doesn’t leave your skin oily after use. It goes on smooth and absorbs completely into the skin. You only need to use a small amount each time. -

Mederma for Acne Scars
Filed under: Acne Scar Treatments Reviews;2 CommentsMederma is a product claiming to soften, smooth and reduce the appearance of scars.
MEDERMA is formulated with Cepalin, a onion extract that should soften hardened tissue and reduces the size and redness of raised scars. Historically, onion extract has been used to soothe skin irritation and inflammation. In MEDERMA, Cepalin shlould improve the texture, color and overall appearance of scars.I have personally tried Mederma gel for my scars.
I suffered with acne for 10 years with a mix of scaring, ‘rolling’, ‘ice-pick’ and ‘boxcar’ on my nose and cheeks. After two weeks, using it 3-4 times a day my ace skin looks softer.
I’ve been applying it on just about my whole face, concentrating on my nose and cheeks area.
This products works good on new scars;been using generously for two weeks it has significantly faded a fresh acne scar on my nose.
I see minimal fading on my old acne scars, but it’s understandable seeing as most of my scars are 8 to 10 years old.The gel absorbs quickly, it works, doesn’t cause breakouts, the smell is fine.

Bio Oil fro Acne Scars
Filed under: Acne Scar Treatments Reviews;19 CommentsBio-Oil is product claiming to improve the appearance of scars, pregnancy stretch marks, and uneven skin tone.
Bio-Oil contains ingredient PurCellin Oil, a recreation of the preen gland oil of ducks. During preening, a duck secretes oil from its preen gland and distributes it over its entire plumage. This oil creates a thin, non-greasy layer on the surface of the feathers without which water would not pearl off and the bird would struggle to swim. This ingredient acts as a delivery system for Bio-Oil’s other ingredients, improving spreadability and allowing for targeted absorption into the skin.Bio-Oil claims to improve the appearance of all types of scars to maintain elasticity of scar tissue on joints and other high-mobility areas, including stretch marks.
My experience:The product is not really the best. I don’t see any improvement on my acne scars, and I have been using the product for several months. I do not see how this could work when the first and main ingredient is Mineral Oil which has been banned for skincare use in Europe and is proven to be a skin occlusive.
Additionally, BioOil is too sticky and uncomfortable to put on. And after it is all over your hands, it takes a long time to wash off. And I really can’t see this oil getting rid of acne scars because there is nothing in the ingredients that would help at all.
This product may work for some people. I’m not one of them.
