The technique involves the removal of unsightly little holes of the skin replacing them with intact skin. The dermis is taken usually from the area behind the ear and placed with a surgical trill called Trilix at the point where the gap is present.Stages of surgery of acne scars
With a special microsurgical drill, a portion of the damaged dermis is withdrawn. The micro-cutting is done under local anesthesia.
With the same drill used for micro-millimeter removal a piece of healthy skin is inserted into the skin. The incorporation “mosaic” is jointed, without requiring sutures or surgical glue.
The removal of acne scars requires one or two sessions of 30 minutes each, performed at intervals of 15-20 days.
After the session of Mosaic Surgery a surgical patch is applied.
Within ten days the skin will be perfectly healed.The little holes disappear, as well as traces of micro-surgery, the skin will be more compact and beautiful to see.Often, after the micro surgery, a skin laser resurfacing is performed to to refine the results.
Even the scars left from chickenpox can be successfully treated with Mosaic Surgery.
